I've bought the complete package from BlackMagic, with the capture interfaces and the control surfaces and the full audio integration and linkup with Avid products. Good motion tracking in the software allows for creative time saving recording techniques like high fps fast sweeps and using cable cams instead of having to set up jibs and sliders and using steadycam equipment, which is all very time consuming. The people I work with that use this stuff, use the tracking feature a lot because it's handy for smooth imagery in documentational product footage (aka "gear porn" videos), which is what they have to deal with a lot. So if tracking specific subjects is your thing, try out Resolve for sure. Da Vinci Resolve is great for certain things, obviously grading, but it's great for tracking, it's not the most advertised function, but it just works very well and with more precision, better speed and much lower overhead than on any other linear editor I've seen.
